Institute for Machine Tools and Factory Management (IWF) at School V

Faculty V has cooperative partnerships with numerous scientific institutes and organisations both in Germany and abroad, including over 200 partnerships with foreign universities. In the areas of study and teaching, there are several double degree programmes with universities in other countries, for instance in Poland, France, Serbia, Russia, China, and South Korea. These agreements are complemented by numerous cooperative agreements between the institutes.

With our notable partner institutes, such as the Federal Institute for Material Testing (BAM), the German National Railways (DBAG), and the German Research Institute for Aero- and Astronautics (DLR), beneficial mutual relationships are built up and long-term cooperation is established, which benefits our students significantly.

In addition, the TU Berlin maintains contractual collaborative work with industrial companies and renowned independent research institutes. In order to strengthen and expand this, the TU and its faculties are always breaking new ground and initiating strategic alliances, which in turn give the university and its partners a decisive competitive advantage. This Environment allows students to undertake a practically-orientated course of study and gives them direct access to professional life, whilst at the same time providing ideal conditions for cutting-edge research.
