Overview
This lecture deals with special mathematical methods applied to fluid dynamics. The focus is on perturbation methods which allow to understand properties of flow configurations analytically by means of asymptotic series. The application to flow mechanics is compared to other areas such as statistical physics.
- Flow potentials
- Boundary layer theory
- Asymptotic series
- High Order boundary layer theory
- Regularization for ODE
- Statistical mechanics and renormalization
- Triple deck theory
- Low mach number theory
- Stability theory
