One of the most important aspects to be sorted out before starting one's studies in Berlin is finding accommodation. In Berlin you are spoilt for choice - the city has a large number of comfortable, reasonably priced accommodation options.

The Student Union of Berlin [1] administrates around 10,000 places in student dormitories in direct proximity to the university (TUB), as well as living options in almost every district in the city in the form of single or shared apartments and flats - there is something for every living need and budget. As well as the Student Union, there are also organizations such as the Mayor Reuter Foundation [7] which offer around 1,250 reasonably priced accommodation options (starting from € 190 per month for a room). These are available as both short and long term rentals. Also, the Students Hostel & Hotel Hubertusallee [8] offers rooms at reasonable prices for pupils and students.

In addition, there are numerous large housing societies in Berlin, such as the GSW [9], the WBM [10], the DeGeWo [11], the Gehag [12], the Gesobau [13], the Stadt & Land [14], the Arwobau [15], and the Gewobag [16], which offer apartments, often with special conditions for students and young people.
